Signature Healthcare of Port Charlotte must pay $10,000 to the state of Florida Agency for Healthcare Administration following an appeal of deficiencies cited against its nursing home facility during a June, 2014 unannounced investigation.
Among other deficiencies noted at that time, Signature Healthcare of Port Charlotte was cited for failing to have sufficient numbers of qualified nursing staff on a 24 hour basis to meet resident needs.
I have one or more pending cases against Signature Healthcare of Port Charlotte. If you are a former employee who has knowledge about issues, concerns or problems at this facility and the company that owns and operates it, I would urge you to contact me at (941) 426-7900.
Under Florida law, the conscious denial of care and services to a vulnerable adult nursing home resident constitutes “abuse” as well as “neglect.” If you believe someone has become the victim of nursing home abuse and neglect, please feel free to call me to discuss the claim process during a free consultation. Our law firm works on a contingency fee and cost basis. We only collect a fee and recover costs if and when we are successful in resolving a claim. James Keim, Attorney at Law. (941) 426-7900.
